Michelle is glorious in gold

For fashionistas everywhere the big question today was what will Michelle Obama be wearing to the inauguration ceremony? After mixed reviews on her red and black election night dress, an unqualified success it seemed was needed.

What a success she delivered, the Isabel Toledo designed matching golden-yellow dress and overcoat was a bold but inspired choice.

The coat and dress made of Swiss wool lace, backed with netting for warmth and lined in French silk have been universally acclaimed.

"I wanted to pick a very optimistic color, that had sunshine. I wanted her to feel charmed, and in that way would charm everybody," the designer Ms. Toledo explained.

We salute the new First Lady on her stunning choice.
